Teacher Biographies
Korie B.
A former attorney turned paper-artist, Korie teaches book arts and rubber stamping at several local stores. Korie discovered her love for all things paper after mocking a girlfriend for becoming a suburbanite scrapbooker. One glimpse at all those pretty paper colors and cool tools, and Korie was hooked herself! Eight years later, she's elbow deep in adhesive and Twinkling H2Os and she couldn't be happier. If she had any spare time, she would enjoy walking barefoot in her backyard in West Virginia,
gossiping late into the night with her girlfriends and perfecting her homemade ice cream recipe.

Beth F.
Beth brings a world of experience to the Rubber Chicken Art Institute. She has studied under several nationally-known book artists, then added her own flair! Beth has been teaching collage and bookbinding classes for several years in VA, MD and PA. She loves to create Star Books and has done several variations! Her preferred type of artwork is collage; she loves all types of embellishments and her motto, "the more, the better", applies to both vintage and new ephemera! Beth has recently been published for her first time in "Design Originals' Basic Books and Beyond".
Kathryn K.
Kathryn has been designing and creating artwork for at least 30 years and was bitten by the “Stamping Bug” during Christmas 2000. Since then, she has been obsessed (sound familiar?) with this amazing and versatile art form.
Kathryn began teaching stamping classes in the spring of 2001, focusing of techniques that create dimension and add texture. She is especially fond of layering different paper colors and finishes to create interest. Fibers, buttons, charms and other small objects provide an endless array of tools to add dimension and texture to her creations. And of course there’s all those pearls and rhinestones to add sparkle and elegance. Kathryn has gained a loyal following and she always gives great lessons on mastering the exacto knife - a very useful skill!

Betty S.
Betty is a native New Yorker who has lived in Maryland for more than 23 years. Betty has been stamping for over 10 years. She enjoys time with her family and Boxer, Niko. Growing up, she was always involved in a craft with her mother and sister. If they weren't knitting, sewing or doing needlework, they were painting on canvas or clothes. It wasn't until living in Maryland that she had the opportunity to learn about stamping. By day she works in an office, but come the evening and weekends - she is an avid stamper!!!
